Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Patient Flow Coordinator (Band 4) to join the Command Centre at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The role is 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation, with 24/7 operations, weekend and night duties required. Prior NHS experience and strong patient flow knowledge are essential.

The successful candidate will work within an acute hospital environment, supporting clinical areas and ensuring efficient patient flow across services.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Command Centre 24/7, including weekends and nights.
  • Contribute to patient flow management and site operations.
  • Collaborate with Trust clinical areas, especially Emergency Department.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to improve service delivery.

Patient Flow Coordinator | Band 4 | Urgent, Elderly and Intermediate Care (previous applicants need not apply).

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large vibrant hospital providing acute and community hospital services to the 1.5m people who live in the area. The hospital has approximately 650 beds, employs in the region of 7,000 whole time equivalent staff and has an annual turnover of £350m. We are a dynamic and successful organisation with a strong organisational and personal development focus.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the team of Patient Flow coordinators working in the Command Centre at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Candidates must have current acute hospital clinical experience, with an interest in patient flow and acute services.

Main duties of the job

Due to current Home Office Guidelines, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

When required, this role involves support to clinical areas with direct patient cares, whilst working within the limitation of your own clinical competency, so demonstration of competence in a range of clinical skills and extended clinical knowledge relevant to the scope of practice is required.

The Command Centre operates 24/7; 365 days the successfulcandidate will be expected to work shifts including weekends, bank holidays and night duties

The post offers diversity and an opportunity to gain clinical site management and patient flow experience working closely with all Trust clinical areas but particularly with the Emergency Department
