Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support nursing staff under the direction of an RN in a small-format hospital setting. You will perform indirect care, vital signs, basic procedures, transfers, and clerical tasks while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, current BLS, and fluent English. Prior hospital experience is preferred. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to develop clinical skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required for written and verbal communication.
• High school diploma or GED required; CNA preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient care tasks, vital signs, glucose checks, EKGs and prepare patients for procedures.
• Assist with meals, mobility, transports, and maintain rooms and equipment.
• Support unit operations as a clerk and monitor patients as assigned.
