Davies Veterinary Specialists, part of Linnaeus Group, is looking for a Patient Care Assistant to join our team in Hitchin. This full-time role involves supporting nurses and interns, delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining cleanliness and stock levels to keep the day running smoothly.

Training is provided; weekend duties are included on a 1:4 rotation. The successful candidate will be highly organized, physically and emotionally resilient, and capable of working in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience with animal care preferred but not required; full training provided.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care and assist nurses and interns.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and stock levels to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support clinical staff to deliver high standards of care for patients.

The role is a vital part of the patient experience as you will provide hands-on care to patients as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness, organisation and stock levels are maintained, allowing the smooth running of the dayTo be successful in this role you need to be highly organised, have the physical, mental and emotional stamina required to work with very ill patients, and have the ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment.
