Emerus is seeking a Patient Access Specialist/Front Office at WellSpan Hospital in Shrewsbury, PA, to act as a liaison between patients, payers and care teams. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and secure out-of-pocket payments to maximize reimbursement. Exceptional customer service is essential in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to privacy regulations, with weekday day shifts and a focus on quality patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is market-specific (El Paso)
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA compliance in Admissions.
• Assist with patient registration and insurance verification.
• Obtain and verify demographic information for accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and payor details in the system.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and document signatures.
