Job summary

The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA UK, is seeking a Patient Access Leader to head the Patient Access team at The Harborne Hospital. You will lead day-to-day operations in a high-volume environment, ensuring a five-star service to patients and staff, and guiding pathways for a seamless patient journey.

Key duties include staff development, performance appraisals, and handling complaints with timely, professional action, while collaborating with revenue cycle teams and third parties.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Patient Access or similar administrative team.
• Ability to manage complaints with timely, professional resolution.
• Excellent customer service skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to develop staff and manage performance plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Patient Access team in a high-volume environment.
• Ensure a 5* service level for all internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage patient pathways to keep the access process smooth.
• Provide effective leadership and staff development plans.
• Act as escalation point for patient complaints and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility staff, revenue cycle teams and sponsors.
