Job summary

Charles River is seeking Technician Level I for our Safety Assessment site in Tranent, East Lothian. We offer fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities, and no experience is required as full training is provided.

As part of a pathology team you will perform tissue analysis, sample collection, fixation handling, and routine lab tasks, with training across the workflow and flexible hours to suit business needs. You will join a global organisation committed to quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 standard grades or equivalent.
• Flexible approach to suit the needs of the business.
• Able to work flexible hours to suit business requirements, including overtime.
• Commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to sustain bench working conditions for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Predominantly carrying out pathology laboratory procedures within this specialist team requiring niche technical skill and knowledge
• Sample collection and sample preparation prior to and post fixation
• Completing such procedures as required by Study Protocol and SOP within routine laboratory studies
