Job summary

Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a bank Laboratory Assistant role in the Immunology department. Initially for 6 months, the post requires a flexible, reliable team player with good organisation and attention to detail to operate lab equipment safely and accurately.

The role splits roughly 50/50 between Immunology specimen reception and supporting Biomedical Scientists with analysers.

Qualifications

• GCSE/Level 2 including English and maths required.
• Experience of working within Pathology would be advantageous.
• Experience of Immunology techniques is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimen reception and sample referral tasks.
• Support Biomedical Scientists with analysers.
• Answer calls and manage emails and data entry into LIMS.
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping in the lab.
