University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pathology Digital Service Manager to oversee the transition to digital pathology. This role involves managing services effectively, leading change initiatives, and ensuring high-quality patient care through innovative digital solutions.
The Pathology Digital Service Manager will play a key role in supporting the launch and operationalisation of digital pathology within the University College London (UCL) and Queen Square (QS) pathology departments. The digital pathology programme involves pathologists transitioning from reporting via traditional glass slides and microscopes to digital scans of tissues. This innovative transformation includes the introduction and adoption of a new digital pathology application (Sectra), supported by new workstations and medical-grade screens.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that services are efficiently and effectively managed within the Pathology Division. This will be achieved through excellent human resource, financial, and performance management, along with leadership of change management initiatives to improve processes and patient outcomes.
