SF Partners in North Nottingham is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. The role offers a clear path to a permanent Management Accountant position as the business grows, with development opportunities as responsibilities increase.

You'll support month-end, journal postings, reconciliations and transfer to Sage 200 while contributing to process improvements and system implementations.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparing and posting journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end processes and ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.
• Assisting with the transition to Sage 200, including reconciliations, data accuracy and new processes.
• Supporting purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliation activities.
• Monitoring costs and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and allocated.
• Supporting WIP calculations and providing information for financial reporting.
• Working with colleagues across the business to resolve queries and improve financial processes.
• Developing your understanding of the wider business and taking on additional management accounting responsibilities over time.
