Job summary

Ardencote Manor, part of Hiddenwell Luxury Wellness Retreat, is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Working closely with the Pastry Head Chef, Head Chef and Executive Chef, you’ll help run the pastry section and craft high-quality pastries and desserts while mentoring the team.

You’ll also manage stock, assist with rotas and ensure top standards of hygiene, presentation and collaboration across the kitchen. This full-time role offers progression within a luxury retreat setting.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about pastry and uphold high standards.
• Organised, dependable and able to take responsibility.
• Experience in busy kitchen operations and pastry production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the pastry team, supervise and train staff.
• Ensure high-quality pastries and desserts meet standards.
• Manage stock, ordering and monthly stocktakes to minimise waste.
• Assist with rotas and shift coverage for business needs.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and teamwork on every shift.
• Collaborate with Head Chefs and Restaurant Managers for smooth operation.
