Gatineau is seeking a French-trained Pastry Chef to join our highly skilled and close-knit pastry team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a passionate group dedicated to mastering French pâtisserie arts and crafting exquisite seasonal creations.

About the Role

As a key member of our pastry team, you will participate in the production of a wide range of classic and contemporary French pâtisserie and chocolate work. You'll have the opportunity to create wedding showpieces like the traditional croquembouche, work with chocolate, and contribute to an ever-evolving menu inspired by the seasons.

You will also benefit from continuous development and hands-on training in authentic French techniques, from laminated doughs to elegant entremets, mousses, and chocolate tempering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the production of our full repertoire of pâtisserie and chocolate items
  • Conduct stock checks and manage ingredient orders
  • Weigh and measure ingredients with precision
  • Learn and execute seasonal and newly introduced recipes
  • Contribute creative ideas for seasonal and new products
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment
  • Keep accurate food safety and hygiene records
Qualifications & Skills
  • Creativity and a genuine passion for the pastry arts
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a bakery or pastry kitchen
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
