Pastoral and Welfare Manager

The Headteacher and Governors of this successful school, which has an excellent reputation within the community of Golborne, are seeking to recruit a highly effective and passionate Pastoral Manager to join an enthusiastic, dedicated, and hardworking team.

Role: Pastoral and Welfare Manager

We are looking for:

  • A highly skilled practitioner who can establish positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations;
  • Someone who has an open and positive attitude, values teamwork, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour;
  • To work alongside multi-agencies and the staff team to ensure the safety of our children is paramount;
  • To promote and manage the safety and well-being of pupils, helping them to overcome barriers inside and outside of school to achieve well;
  • To lead in monitoring attendance and work with parents and agencies to resolve barriers;
  • To support families, parents, and children with guidance and signposting;
  • To lead on supporting attendance plans and liaise with HR as needed;
  • To support building positive relationships and creating a calm environment using restorative justice approaches;
  • To promote self-esteem, independence, and resilience among pupils;
  • A willingness to contribute to all areas of school life.
