Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking dedicated Pastoral Support Officers to join partner secondary academies across Doncaster. Immediate start, with Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities focused on student wellbeing, attendance and safeguarding.

You will work closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs and teaching staff to provide emotional and social support, build strong relationships with students and carers, and help foster an inclusive school culture that supports pupil success.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a pastoral, mentoring, or support capacity.
• Understanding safeguarding procedures and the importance of confidentiality.
• Excellent communication, empathy and resilience in challenging situations.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily emotional, behavioural and social support to students.
• Work closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs, safeguarding leads and teaching staff.
• Support students with attendance, punctuality, and engagement in learning.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
• Build trusted relationships with students, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture focused on wellbeing and success.

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Officers to join our partner secondary academies across Doncaster. These roles are ideal for individuals with a background in youth work, education, social care, or mental health support who are looking to step into or continue a career in pastoral care within education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily emotional, behavioural and social support to students.
• Work closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs, safeguarding leads and teaching staff.
• Support students with attendance, punctuality, and engagement in learning.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
• Build trusted relationships with students, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture focused on wellbeing and success.

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with young people in a pastoral, mentoring, or support capacity.
• Understand safeguarding procedures and the importance of confidentiality.
• Possess excellent communication, empathy, and resilience.
• Can handle sensitive situations with care, professionalism and discretion.
• Are proactive, organised, and committed to making a difference.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience in a school or academy setting
• Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and SEND
• Relevant qualifications in youth work, counselling, or mental health
