New Forest Care is hiring a Pastoral Support worker for one of our four schools in Totton, Dibden, Fawley and Romsey. The role supports the Pastoral Support Lead to create the right climate for students to maximise achievements.

One year of child-facing experience is essential, with involvement in behaviour and attendance action plans. The company highlights its outdoor learning centre and a commitment to safeguarding, inclusive education, and regular staff development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a TA/Tutor or similar child-facing role.
• Experience supporting pastoral care and student behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Complete and monitor behaviour referrals and incidents.
• Provide input to action plans with Pastoral Support Lead and staff.
• Use Tracker to record issues and identify potential problems.
• Collate evidence for success or further intervention as required.
• Liaise with classroom teachers to intervene where needed.
• Monitor attendance and punctuality plans with the Pastoral Lead.
• Manage Parent/Carer/Home liaison when required.
• Support creation and implementation of Individual Behaviour Plans.
• Supervise students at lunchtime, breaks, and assemblies.
• Share good practice and support colleagues regularly.
• Promote a culture that enables all students to access the curriculum.
