Job summary

The Castle School is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to help students with emotional health and wellbeing, and to support learning by promoting positive behaviour and social development. You will join a pastoral team to ensure students enjoy all areas of school life and reach their full potential.

The role also includes assisting with First Aid during busy periods, with full training provided. A positive attitude, strong communication, and good organisational skills are essential;

Qualifications

• The Castle School seeks a proactive individual with strong communication and administrative skills to join the pastoral team.
• A commitment and passion for working with young people and improving life chances is essential.
• Experience in a school or similar setting is welcome but not essential; right attributes matter more.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students with emotional health and wellbeing.
• Improve student behaviour for learning and help develop social skills.
• Work as part of the Pastoral team to ensure participation in school life and reach potential.
• Assist with First Aid in the absence of the Medical Lead during busy periods.
