Job summary

Teesdale School and Sixth Form is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our caring community. You will work with pupils across Key Stages 3–4 and Post-16, building trusted relationships and supporting well-being, engagement and resilience to help students reach their potential.

• Experience working with young people and/or families in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Competent in data analysis to monitor student progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
• Provide guidance, encouragement and practical support to help overcome barriers to learning.
• Assist with pastoral care, wellbeing and resilience initiatives.
• Maintain records and contribute to safeguarding and DBS checks as required.
