The role:
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment while ensuring that all students receive the individualised guidance they need to thrive in the classroom. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with students aged 11-16. You will engage with them and help the class teacher deliver tailored support and guidance based on their individual and unique learning requirements. Your job will be to inspire and motivate the students while also building on their confidence.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the class teacher and help to implement strategies and interventions that will promote not only their academic growth but also their confidence and ability to overcome challenges. The successful Pastoral Support Assistant:
To be successful in the role as Pastoral Support Assistant, you will need to have a passion and an eagerness to make a difference. You will be compassionate and empathetic but also confident and able to help the educators manage any challenging behaviour.
The successful Pastoral Support Assistant will have some experience working with children. Experience working with children who have additional needs or struggle with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD or other challenging needs will be at an advantage.
