Behaviour Support Assistant - Slough

Are you passionate about supporting young people in making better choices? Are you looking for a role that will allow you to be a role model?

A lovely school in Slough is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join them in the new academic year. They are seeking someone to support their students in the everyday running of the classroom and help the school day run smoothly.

Your role as a Behaviour Support Assistant is important as you will be responsible for supporting the classroom as a whole, while also being a right hand for the students. The students in this setting have had a complicated home life and struggle with mental health needs as a result. This often manifests in behavioral needs, as these students navigate their academics while learning to manage their mental health.

In this role, you will support the students in coping with their emotions and regulating and processing them in beneficial ways, so that any challenging behavior may be worked through healthily. You will utilize any interventions that the class teacher has in place, as well as follow any restorative practices.
