Shavington Academy in Shavington, Cheshire is seeking a dedicated Pastoral/Medical Assistant to deliver health and first aid support for pupils and staff, and to manage paper and electronic health records in line with policy.

You will work with the Pastoral Team to support day-to-day care, prepare risk assessments, and liaise with parents and external health agencies. The role offers-term time structure, with a 35-hour week across 39 weeks per year, within a supportive school environment.

Formación

• Recognised first aid qualification (essential).
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Computer literate and proficient with IT systems.
• Excellent and empathetic communication, writing and reporting abilities.
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff and pupils.
• Ability to stay calm and handle challenging situations.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a busy reception/administration environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide emergency and routine first aid for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Maintain accurate health care records for pupils in paper and electronic form.
• Organise meetings with parents to discuss individual healthcare plans and clinical plans.
• Prepare risk assessments and care plans for specific situations or individuals.
