Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Confident in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Calm, resilient, approachable and able to set clear boundaries
• Understands safeguarding and student welfare
• Able to work effectively within a pastoral/teaching team

Responsibilities

• Manage student behaviour, address incidents and promote positive conduct
• Support pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
• Monitor attendance and punctuality, liaise with families
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Support safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
• Supervise students around the school during social times
• Collaborate with teachers, heads of year and senior leaders to improve engagement and outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions and pastoral support
