Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager for a secondary school in Slough, starting September 2026. You will lead on student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and safeguarding, working with Heads of Year, senior leaders, parents and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or diploma in Counselling, Social Care, Careers, or a related field.
• Experience working with young people in a secondary school setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and pastoral support.

Responsibilities

• Lead on student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and safeguarding.
• Coordinate pastoral interventions and support students to overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitor student progress and help create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
