Apex Educ8 is seeking a confident Pastoral / Behaviour Mentor to join a school in South East London. You will support pupils with behaviour, wellbeing and engagement, building trusted relationships and working closely with teaching and pastoral staff.

This temp-to-perm role offers weekly pay and ongoing support from the Apex Educ8 team, with training and development opportunities to aid professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in education, pastoral or similar setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Confidence handling challenging behaviour and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

Pastoral / Behaviour Mentor – South East London

Location: South East London

Start date: September/October 2026

Contract type: Temp to Perm

Pay: From £105 per day, depending on experience and relevant qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Build positive and trusted relationships with pupils
• Provide pastoral and behavioural support
• Support pupils to manage behaviour and emotions positively
• Help remove barriers to learning and engagement
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams

• Experience supporting children or young people in an education, pastoral or relevant setting
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A calm, patient and consistent approach
• Confidence supporting behaviour and challenging situations
