Job summary

Sowe Valley Primary School in Coventry is seeking an Attendance and Pastoral Support Lead to improve wellbeing of vulnerable children by removing barriers to learning. The role is term-time with 35 hours per week.

You will monitor attendance, support families, maintain records, and deliver targeted therapies to address SEMH needs, working closely with staff and external agencies. Visits welcomed; contact Miss Taylor Hine on 02476 456063 or [e-mail].

Qualifications

• We require a candidate who is passionate about children's learning, development and emotional growth.
• Strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of Bromcom.
• An effective team player with energy, resilience.
• Experience of working with children or families.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups of children to meet academic, social and emotional needs.
• Engage with families and carers to support the children.
• Monitor attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain detailed individual and group records.
• Use assessment tools to identify strengths and development areas.
• Attend meetings and report to senior leaders.
• Support children during unstructured times of the day.
• Deliver therapies and interventions addressing SEMH needs.
