Job summary

Adaston is expanding its surveying team to deliver high-quality passive fire protection reports across hospitals, offices, industrial sites and high-rise buildings.

As a Fire Door and PFP Surveyor you will collect data with Bolster and OneTrace, produce clear recommendations, and liaise with clients while travelling nationwide as needed. You will work to tight deadlines, with reports issued within 3–5 working days to ensure clarity and actionable steps.

Qualifications

• Significant experience surveying fire doors and PFP systems.
• Ability to produce high-quality written surveys.
• Strong communication with clients and project teams.
• Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Complete PFP and Fire Door surveys across allocated sites in line with internal service standards, ensuring 100% compliance with survey methodology and targets.
• Assess compartmentation and fire doors against Approved Document B and relevant standards, capturing non-compliances with photo evidence.
• Record survey data using Bolster and OneTrace with zero missing fields within 24 hours of site attendance.
• Produce high-quality written reports within 3–5 working days of survey completion for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain effective communication with client representatives, ensuring access requirements and progress updates are communicated promptly.
• Interpret fire strategy drawings to align observations with project strategies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold Adaston’s commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
