Job summary

City Site Solutions Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Technical Consultant to join its growing fire protection and compliance team in a preconstruction role combining technical consultancy with estimating.

You will review drawings, develop recommendations, and support accreditation schemes while applying Building Regulations, BS/EN standards and BIM workflows to coordinate with structural fire protection needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in passive fire protection or fire safety consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of structural fire protection systems and fire resistance ratings.
• Practical experience reviewing or working with BIM models.
• Excellent understanding of UK fire regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Strong report-writing and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance on passive fire protection systems across preconstruction.
• Interpret standards and legislation including Building Regulations and BS/EN standards.
• Review drawings, specs and method statements for compliance with fire resistance.
• Assess fire resistance requirements for steel, concrete and composite structures.
• Produce technical reports, compliance statements and recommendations.
• Support BIM workflows and digital design coordination.
