Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd invites applications for a Sandwich Artist in the Subway department at Grantham SPAR. You will greet customers, take orders, and create sandwiches in a friendly, fast‑paced team environment.

Reporting to the Subway Duty Manager, you will handle the till, restock ingredients, maintain cleanliness, and follow Subway/ SPAR procedures while upholding high food safety standards. This permanent role includes weekends and bank holidays with a minimum of 13 hours per week and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
• Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to Subway customers accurately.
• Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
• Re-stock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Use the till to record the order, take the payment and give correct change where necessary.
• Understand and adhered to all Subway, SPAR and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.
