Job summary

Havant and South Downs College invites applications for a part-time lecturer in Access to Higher Education (science) at 0.32 FTE. You will plan and deliver teaching, assess learners and track progress to support high attendance and achievement.

We seek a subject specialist with a Level 5 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve one) who is self-motivated, innovative and capable of inspiring adult learners, with some activity outside the classroom such as events.

Qualifications

• Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong ability to plan and deliver teaching, assessment and support.
• Experience contributing to attendance, retention and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver teaching, learning and assessment.
• Record and monitor student progress using college systems.
• Prepare learning plans and schemes of work.
• Carry out administration linked to teaching duties.
• Attend parents' evenings and promotional events.
