Job summary

Nottingham City Council is recruiting for a Passenger Transport Services supervisor to manage driving teams delivering safe, accessible travel for children and vulnerable adults. You will plan routes, monitor performance and ensure high standards of customer service.

This onsite role offers a permanent contract, shift patterns, a starting salary of £32,597 rising to £35,412 pro rata for part-time, and a generous pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and hold a minimum of a D1 driving licence with a D desirable
• Supervisory experience of transport related operations and people
• Experience of monitoring, checking and compliance in relation to transport operations, Health and Safety, and safeguarding
• Knowledge of passenger transport legislation in relation to operating a fleet of minibuses and High Dependency vehicles
• Fluency in English is an essential requirement under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) for public sector workers
• A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post
• The role requires participation in the on call rota

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Drivers and Passenger Assistants to deliver safe, high quality, accessible travel
• Plan and allocate routes and promote good client and passenger relations to high standards of operational satisfaction
• Ensure all legal, statutory and council provisions relating to operation activity are complied with, and that all drivers understand their roles and perform safety checks on vehicles
