Barnsley Council is seeking Passenger Assistants to support travel for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring safe journeys from home to school and back. This part-time role covers term-time weeks with split shifts and requires safeguarding and DBS checks.

Our Travel Assistance Service is a lifeline for nearly 1,000 children and adults across the borough. This is an exciting time to join our forward-thinking, dynamic team as we continue to grow and innovate. We are currently recruiting Passenger Assistants to join our busy, expanding team. In this role, you will provide essential travel assistance for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring safe journeys between home, school, or college, as well as transport to adult day care facilities when required.
