Children’s Activity Instructor at The Sands Centre

GLL is seeking a Children’s Activity Instructor to engage and inspire children through various activities, ensuring their safety and fostering their development. This role offers a career opportunity beyond just a job.

Responsibilities include:

1. Complying with the ‘Customer Charter’ and maintaining standards.
2. Following all compliance and legal requirements, including Ofsted legislation.
3. Adhering to administrative procedures.
4. Ensuring inclusive opportunities for all children and safeguarding their wellbeing.
5. Managing the care of children over and under 8 years old without adverse effects.
6. Maintaining cleanliness of all areas and equipment.
7. Logging and reporting safeguarding issues to the Children Activity Supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications or experience working with children aged 5 and above.
2. Level 2 qualification in Child Care / Play work or coaching desirable.
3. Understanding of childcare expectations and Ofsted and Health & Safety legislation.
4. Knowledge of GLL Safeguarding Policies and Safer Working Practices.
5. Experience working with children under 8 or relevant childcare qualifications.
6. Ability to deliver an enabling environment tailored to individual needs.
