Job summary

Vines Group in Crawley is seeking a Parts Supervisor to lead the Parts Team, oversee day-to-day operations and drive customer service, accuracy and profitability. You may deputise for the Parts Manager when required.

The role requires up-to-date knowledge of parts, strong leadership, coaching and a focus on stock control and servicing performance. Training provided, with opportunities to grow within the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction, support and guidance to colleagues within the Parts Team.
• Help allocate workloads and make sure priorities are managed effectively.
• Lead by example and promote a positive, professional working environment.
• Coach, support and mentor colleagues to help them develop and perform at their best.
• Support new starters and help create a strong, engaged team.
• Help oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Parts Department.
• Take ownership of day-to-day customer, trade and internal service issues.
• Ensure parts are ordered, received, stored and supplied efficiently and accurately.
• Keep on top of outstanding orders, backorders, returns, work in progress and urgent requirements.
• Be the first point of support for day-to-day operational queries and challenges.
• Identify issues early, take ownership and elevate to the Parts Manager where appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organised and customer-ready department.
• Support the Parts Manager in achieving the department’s sales and financial objectives.
• Keep a close eye on sales, gross profit, backorders, customer service and work in progress.
• Help identify opportunities to improve profitability and departmental performance.
• Support effective stock management, including discrepancies, returns, special orders and obsolete stock.
• Provide updates to the Parts Manager on performance, risks and operational issues.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Supervisor to take the next step in their career with Vines. This role is ideal for someone who already has strong Parts knowledge and is ready to take on greater responsibility, develop their leadership skills and play a bigger part in the day-to-day performance of the department.

You’ll provide visible leadership and direction to the Parts Team, help coordinate the daily operation and ensure we continue to deliver high standards of customer service, accuracy, efficiency and profitability. You’ll also have the opportunity to deputise for the Parts Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

Step Up & Lead the Team
