Job description

Ford and Slater are one of the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealer groups, with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff while remaining a family-run business. We currently have an exciting position as a Parts Advisor in our DAF Trucks dealership in Sheffield. As a Parts Advisor, we offer:

Who are we looking for as a Parts Advisor:

1. You will have previous experience working as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the HGV, commercial vehicle, motor trade, or an associated sector.
2. Or have experience within a Warehouse / Stores environment with a passion for trucks and knowledge of truck/car parts.
3. A customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills.
4. Comfortable working unsupervised during night shifts.
5. Full UK driving licence.

The Parts Advisor responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Providing a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face-to-face, over the trade counter, via telephone, and online.
2. Efficiently replenishing stocks in accordance with health and safety regulations, creating new locations where necessary.
3. Promoting and encouraging growth of the parts business.
4. Utilising all parts identification tools to ensure effective customer response.
5. Maintaining accurate records for all service exchange parts supplied/returned.

Working hours: 4 nights, 6pm – 6am.
