Job summary

Volvo Group in Blyth is seeking a proactive Parts Advisor to manage day-to-day parts operations, stock, and customer service in a stand-alone role. You will work closely with the workshop to ensure an efficient service and may cover the Customer Service Representative during holidays.

You will handle deliveries, stock control, quotations, and product feature discussions with customers, while promoting parts sales and maintaining strong safety and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries, record and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged systems.
• Locating and label parts and maintain inventory of stock, reporting stock shortages to parts supervisor.
• Maintain a good standard of housekeeping, operating within health & safety guidelines.
• Produce parts quotations for internal/external customers.
• Documenting and supervising the condition of parts returned for credit including old unit cores and reporting damaged items to the Parts Supervisor.
• Ensuring that all parts and returns are correctly labelled and packed with documentation.
• Discussing part features and uses with customers whilst promoting and selling parts.
• Accurately compile parts from job cards for repairs being carried out in the workshop.
• Feedback information about competitors to Parts Supervisor.
• Work with Parts Supervisor to achieve maximum competency.
• Pick up and deliver parts on occasion.
• Commercial awareness.

Parts Advisor – Blyth

Shifts: Dayshift - Monday to Friday (8.00am - 4.30pm) plus 1 in 2 Saturdays paid at overtime (8.00am – 12.00pm)

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Parts Advisor to join our team in Blyth in a stand‑alone role, taking responsibility for the day-to-day parts operation. The successful candidate will support customers, manage stock, process parts orders and work closely with the workshop to ensure an efficient service. There will also be occasions when cover is required for the Customer Service Representative during periods of annual leave, so a flexible and adaptable approach is essential.
