Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is seeking a Parts Advisor for a busy motor retail client in Fareham. You will help customers identify parts, advise on availability and pricing, process orders and manage inventory to support service teams.

Candidates with motor trade experience are preferred but not essential. The role offers a base salary of £24,000 with a workshop bonus up to £600 per month and an uncapped OTE around £31,000. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional extended/friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying and locating vehicle parts for customers.
• Ability to advise on product availability, pricing and specifications.
• Familiarity with stock checks and reordering processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and locating correct parts for their vehicles.
• Provide expert guidance on product availability, pricing and specifications.
• Process orders and ensure timely delivery to customers or internal departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform stock checks/reordering.
• Collaborate with service and repair teams to ensure parts availability for work.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to parts orders or availability.
• Keep detailed records of transactions, orders and inventory in company software.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
• Keep the parts department organized, clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
