Job summary

Read Hyundai Boston is seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy team. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will manage customer check-ins/outs, upsell service plans, and coordinate with the workshop to keep customers informed and satisfied.

The role requires strong IT and customer-facing skills, a full driving licence, and the ability to work 8:00am–5:30pm, with Saturday shifts on a rota basis. Excellent salary and bonus package available.

Responsibilities

• Check customers in/out and upsell VHC work and Service Plans.
• Call parts customers and book in requests; keep customers updated.
• Handle payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
• Liaise with workshop for progress and obtain technical advice.
• Create, load and monitor bookings in the electronic diary.
• Ensure paperwork is filed and next day jobs prepared with parts ready.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Parts Advisor to join our Award winning group.

Having claimed 4 Hyundai National Awards in the last three years for overall dealer performance, aftersales performance and customer service, we are now looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy team at Read Boston. Reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager your key responsibilities will include;

• Checking customers in/out.
• Upselling any VHC work reported and Service Plans
• Calling parts customers and booking in any customers.
• Ensuring customers are kept up to date.
• Explain and educate customers on the follow up process to encourage response levels.
• Preparation of next days jobs ensuring all parts in stock and pre-picked/recalls checked/service plan quotes etc.
• Ensuring all card and cash payments are taken correctly and cash handling procedure followed.
• Checking all courtesy vehicles are on site are clean, fuelled and easily accessible ready for the next day.
• Liaising with the workshop for progress and technical advice
• Creating and loading bookings onto electronic diary efficiently and monitoring this function
• Filing of Paperwork

Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, meet deadlines and be self-motivated with a positive can do attitude.

Strong IT skills are essential for the position and an ability to prioritise own workload. Strong customer facing skills are an essential requirement for this position along with experience within a similar position.

Full driving licence is essential for this position.

Hours of work are 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays by rota (1 in 3) working 8.30am – 12.30pm.
