Job summary

Birmingham Newman University is seeking a Partnership Admissions Quality Officer to support the Collaborative Provision Unit and franchise admissions. You will verify enrolment applications, check IDs, qualifications and fee status, and monitor for fraudulent submissions to safeguard admissions integrity.

You will also support compliance visits, review interviews, and ensure adherence to admissions policies, including contextual considerations where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience in admissions or compliance processes is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies consistently.
• Strong check and record-keeping skills.

• Verify applicant information and ensure ID, qualifications, and fee status are correct.
• Review essays and identify potential fraudulent submissions.
• Assist with compliance visits and ID checks at partner sites.

Responsibilities

• To act as the Partnership Admissions Quality Officer in supporting the Collaborative Provision Unit, and specifically franchise admissions.
• Check all applications submitted for enrolment onto a franchised programme and ensuring compliance with all university requirements, and in particular ensuring correct ID details are provide and all relevant qualifications as well as fee status.
• Check all written work (entry essays) completed and monitor for any concerns on potential submissions made fraudulently
• Support the CPU compliance visit schedule (i.e. undertaking ID checks)
• Ensure correct application of the admissions policy (including fair admissions context and application where appropriate of contextual admissions
• Reviewing recorded interviews and attending a sample of interviews undertaken at partners
• Reviewing certificates for English tests taken and confirming their appropriateness and validity
• Identify any potential anomalies and elevate admissions risks internally
