Please note - this is a fully remote, part-time, voluntary unpaid position. Hours are flexible, including evenings and weekends, from 3-6 hours per week, to be confirmed at interview.
The International Youth Federation (IYF) is an international non-profit youth network governed by its Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.
The IYF NGO Accreditation Center (NAC) works to promote excellence in youth-led organizations globally and recognize community achievements towards empowered communities. NAC is governed by the IYF International Relations Commission, which oversees all matters related to the IYF Accreditation Programmes.
Under the guidance of the NAC Director, the Communications Specialist supports internal communications within the unit and promotes the center's work across global media, multimedia, and social media platforms. Responsibilities include coordinating communication tasks, drafting and editing materials, and developing global campaigns in collaboration with relevant departments.
To voluntarily represent, promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” through various programs and opportunities across IYF interventions worldwide.

Additional skills include leadership, strategic planning, results-based management, and excellent digital communication skills.
At least five years in partnerships, stakeholder management, program management, youth empowerment, communications, international relations, youth studies, sport, women empowerment, or related fields preferred.
Qualified candidates may undergo an assessment exercise followed by a competency-based interview.
Fluency in English with excellent drafting skills is essential.
