Volunteer Lawyer (Charity law or Employment law or General Commercial or Criminal Law) | We Are Stronger Charity

An exciting opportunity for a volunteer with a start-up Anti-bullying Charity; support us internally and potentially externally with victims of bullying and harassment.

What difference will you make?
With your help, we want to be the "go-to" charity for anti-bullying. We want to ensure that we stay within the legal framework for charities and also provide, where needed, the legal advice and direction where we can.

What are we looking for?
Ideally, we are looking for someone with Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive qualifications with rights of audience; experience or focus on anti-bullying and anti-harassment, Charity law, Employment law, General Commercial law. Good, recent advocacy, drafting and negotiation experience; good communicator; ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team; provide practical advice; and a passion for our cause and mission.

What will you be doing?
You will need to have a background in Charity Law, Employment Law, General Commercial Law, or Criminal Law. You must be qualified and practising in the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Help with contract law.
2. Ensure legal compliance and policies.
3. Provide understanding of the legality regarding our policies and procedures with regards to the UK Charities Framework.
4. Provide clear and practical advice and guidance on Charity legislation.
5. Assist in providing advice in the event of a dispute to find a resolution.
6. Provide clear and practical advice regarding bullying and harassment.
7. Support potential victims by providing advice and direction.
8. Handle any other ad hoc requests.

Location: Home-based, ideally located in the London area for potential face-to-face discussions in the future.

Working with: You will work with our CEO, Policy Team, and HR department.
