About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager to join our Commercial teamdelivering exceptional account management for the group’s Partners and local sponsors whilst driving increased revenue across The Jockey Club by upselling and developing designated accounts.Reporting into the Head of Partnership Account Management you will lead on account management across Epsom, Kempton and Sandown as well as assigned Partners, ensuring we act for the good of British racing in everything we do.

The Partnerships Account Managerwill
- Implement practices to ensure year-round ‘best in class’ management of assigned Group Partners, fulfilling all rights with an understanding of their business models, objectives and KPIs.
- Deliver financial growth of existing accounts through any renewals, in line with the wider strategy, to ensure that Group Partnership budgets are achieved.
- Lead the delivery of the Derby Festival and local sponsors at Epsom from a partnership perspective and represent the team in planning meetings.
- Ensure The Jockey Club’s digital and data capabilities are being leveraged for the benefit of our Partners.
- Line management responsibility for the Partnership Account Executive who has responsibility for managing local sponsors at Kempton and Sandown
- Manage multiple internal stakeholders to ensure the partnership rights are understood and implemented.
- Proactively use the EBMS CRM system to ensure customer information is always up to date and ensure that all purchase orders and invoices are raised and subsequently paid efficiently across the year.
- Effectively manage admin practices with regards to all aspects of delivering racedays, taking responsibility for branding allocations, hospitality requirements, invoicing, ticket distribution, race conditions and trophies.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date knowledge of the department’s current financial position, ensuring the Partnership Sales team are aware of all opportunities and support the development of a strong pipeline of potential local sponsors and Partners.
- Manage low level local sponsorship enquiries and follow through to contract stage.
- Collaborate with the Head of Partnership Sales and Partnership Sales Executives to ensure Partners are proactively furnished with new and relevant opportunities and identify future sales opportunities.
About you
- Proven Account Manager who thrives on building, developing, and managing relationships
- Deep understanding of sports industry and commercial landscape with experience of working in a commercial client facing environment
- Comfortable in a marketing or partnerships environment with experience in delivering campaigns for brands with a good understanding of digital marketing
- Outstanding communicator able to influence a varied range of stakeholders.
- Positive, can-do attitude to the workplace with a hands-on approach.
