Job summary

A newly formed sports strategy & marketing consultancy is looking for a Partnership Development Manager to drive the sourcing and negotiation of high-value marketing partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, especially within sports sponsorship, and a strong understanding of partnership building.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years’ experience in business development or sales.
  • Experience in sports sponsorship preferred.
  • UK-based and eligible to work in the UK market.

Advantage is a newly formed sports strategy & marketing consultancy, headquartered in London with a growing global presence. We specialise in commercial strategy consulting, property valuation modelling and rights brokerage.

We work with both rights holders and brands, across global sport and entertainment and within wider business verticals. Current projects include strategy consulting & rights brokerage projects with a variety of tier-1 global sports properties and brands.

Advantage is set up to provide honest, personal and data-led advice to our clients. Our backgrounds including Formula 1, Premier League football, professional golf and blue-chip management consulting.

We are in an accelerated phase of growth and are looking for motivated individuals to join our UK expansion.

The Role:

We are seeking a Partnership Development Manager to support Advantage and its clients in the sourcing and negotiation of high value marketing partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with Advantage and its clients to develop and source high value marketing partnerships
  • Research and identify potential commercial partners across a wide range of industries, business types and geographies.
  • Alongside the Founder and Senior Team, complete negotiations with potential partners on terms approved by the client.
  • Develop dynamic presentations and solutions-orientated concepts for use in client pitches.
  • Support in the contracting process.
  • Prepare meeting materials, company research and profiling.
  • Ensure timely reporting, upkeep and management of CRM systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • UK-based and eligible to work in UK market.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a business development or sales related field.
  • Experience of sports sponsorship preferred.
  • A natural self-starter with the ability to work autonomously across the business development process.
  • Knowledge of partnership building and understanding the value of marketing solutions.
  • An ability to manage, assess and translate data as part of the partnership development process.
  • Thinks ahead, generates innovative ideas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to self motivate and drive work forward.
  • Proven problem solving abilities.
  • Hybrid role
  • Base salary dependent on experience.
  • Bonuses and commission linked to individual & company performance.
