Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley is seeking an organized administrator to join the South London Regional Property Team. You will support Regional Repair Managers, Disrepair Manager and Property Surveyors, handling customer contact, coordinating contractors, updating systems, and maintaining excellent records.

This role operates in a responsive repairs environment; the successful candidate will bring strong communication, IT skills, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure compliance and smooth service

Responsibilities

  • Working with contractors and residents on responsive repairs, ensuring clear communication when booking and confirming appointments.
  • Leading on keeping systems and records up to date and controlling data input for accuracy.
  • Supporting repairs and service delivery teams in managing works, diaries and cases.
  • Proactively assisting the team with general administration and telephone duties to ensure processes are completed and customer service is excellent.

The role

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced individual to work in our South London Regional Property Team.

You will provide support to the Regional Repair Managers, Disrepair Manager, and Property Surveyors, helping contact customers, liaise with contractors, update business systems and ensure great record keeping is in place.

This is a role within a responsive repairs environment and the ideal candidate will be used to working in a housing, repairs, or similar environment where organisation is key.

What We’re Looking For
  • An excellent communicator, your experience and a relevant track record are an absolute requirement with demonstrable use of spreadsheets, IT systems and other generic software.
  • A natural curiosity for resolving problems and genuine passion for helping our customers.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to interpret and follow businesses processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, including identifying potential problems and good record keeping ensuring we document compliance with relevant legislation.
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following
  • Working with contractors and residents on responsive repairs (including Awaab’s Law), ensuring clear communication with all parties when booking and confirming appointments.
  • Leading on keeping systems and records up to date and to control the data input to ensure accuracy.
  • Supporting repairs and service delivery teams in effectively managing works, diaries, and cases.
  • Proactively assisting the team with general administration or telephone duties, ensuring all internal processes are followed through to completion, and an excellent customer service is provided to all customers and stakeholders.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Experience of dealing with customers from different backgrounds, and delivering a positive and easy service to customers
  • Experience of analysing customer feedback to achieve service improvements
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders
  • Experience of dealing with customers and responding to customer enquiries on the phone and in writing
  • An experienced user of Microsoft Office and the ability to easily learn other IT packages
  • Strong administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to problem solve
