Job summary

The National Theatre is seeking a Participation Administrator to join the Learning team. Based in the NT Learning department, the role acts as the central administrative point for the Participation team, supporting Connections, New Views and Young People’s projects running at the National Theatre.

The successful candidate will use databases (Airtable experience welcome) and bring excellent organisational and communication skills to help deliver programmes on time and to high standards,

Qualifications

  • Solid administrative experience in a professional arts organisation.
  • Experience of using database packages (Airtable experience welcome).
  • Excellent organisational skills including prioritising tasks within competing work demands and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with a wide range of people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Some knowledge of the Secondary education sector.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all key administrative functions to support smooth and efficient delivery of work.

Job description

We are looking for a Participation Administrator to join the National Theatre Participation and the Learning Team.

To act as the central administrative point for the Participation team, working across Connections, New Views, and Young People's projects running at the National Theatre. The role will deliver all key administrative functions, supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of work. The role will work collaboratively with colleagues to support the existing programmes and new opportunities in line with Participation's strategy and ambitions.

The Administrator role is based in the NT's Learning department. The role is focused on Participation team but work with the wider Learning team is required for the operation of the programme and the wider development of youth led work at the NT.

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Solid administrative experience in a professional arts organisation
  • Experience of using database packages (experience gained in using the Airtable system would be especially welcome but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks within competing work demands and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal confidently and positively with a wide range of people of all ages and backgrounds in writing, face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Some knowledge of the Secondary education sector.
