Job summary

Northampton Town Football Club is seeking a part-time Goalkeeper Coach to support the Under 9-16 goalkeepers, delivering age-specific training and ensuring ILPs are developed and reviewed. You will collaborate with Head of Coach Development and Lead phase coaches, completing online assessments and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires UEFA B GK coaching Licence, UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Award (Modules 1-3), and a DBS check. Flexible hours incl. evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven coaching experience.
• An ability to differentiate tasks based on ability and key stages of player development.
• An approachable manner towards young people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with other department members and coaching staff.
• Willing to work flexible and unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.
• Due to regulated activity, a DBS check at the appropriate level is required.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing an age specific programme to the Under 9-16 goalkeepers.
• Delivering age specific syllabus to players in their charge.
• Ensuring each goalkeeper has an Individual Learning Plan monitored and reviewed.
• Assisting Head of Coach Development and Lead phase coaches in ILP development and delivery.
• Completing online and electronic reviews and assessments of players and sessions.
• Communicating effectively with all team members and reporting to the Lead Phase Coach.
• Working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent coaching.
• Having experience of working with the FIP, ensuring records and administration are completed accurately.
