Job summary

The Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust is seeking a Wraparound Breakfast Club Assistant to start on Monday 2nd November 2026 at Southbroom St James CE Academy. The role is across 5 mornings per week, 7:40am to 8:40am, term time only, with potential duties in the 3:15pm to 5:45pm wraparound afternoons.

You will support safe play, prepare activities, supervise meals, and build a warm rapport with children while adhering to school policies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to build a warm rapport with children and families.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with children and colleagues.
• Understanding of food hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow school health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard children during the afterschool period.
• Preparing and assisting with activities for the children on site.
• Supervising meals/snacks as required.
