Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking an individual to support weight management and Type 2 diabetes prevention services across Fife, working closely with Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will help patients engage with healthier lifestyles, deliver interventions under supervision, coordinate appointments and maintain records, within a supportive, health-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a health, care, administrative or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Enjoys supporting people to make positive lifestyle changes.
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Support patients to engage with healthy eating, physical activity and lifestyle change programmes.
  • Deliver individual and group-based interventions under supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
  • Provide practical information and support to help patients achieve health goals.
  • Coordinate appointments, patient communications and group programmes.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage data and use electronic systems to support service delivery.
  • Support audit, service evaluation and quality improvement activities.
