Job summary

NHS Scotland's Diabetes & Weight Management Team in Fife is seeking a proactive individual to support delivery of weight management and Type 2 diabetes prevention services. You will work with Dietitians and a multidisciplinary team to help patients engage in healthy eating and lifestyle changes across the service.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, delivering group and individual interventions under supervision, maintaining records and supporting audits to improve care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in health, care, administrative or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Enjoys supporting people to make positive lifestyle changes.
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in weight management, diabetes or health improvement would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working closely with Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of weight management and Type 2 diabetes prevention services across Fife.

About The Team

The Diabetes & Weight Management Team is part of NHS Fife's wider Nutrition & Dietetics Service and works alongside colleagues across primary and secondary care to support people living with diabetes, obesity and other long-term conditions.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team of Dietitians, Psychologists, Dietetic Support Workers, Exercise Specialists and Administrative Staff who are committed to improving health outcomes for the people of Fife through prevention, early intervention and evidence-based care.
