Job description

Working closely with Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of weight management and Type 2 diabetes prevention services across Fife.

Responsibilities Include
  • Supporting patients to engage with healthy eating, physical activity and lifestyle change programmes
  • Delivering individual and group-based interventions under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian
  • Providing practical information and support to help patients achieve their health goals
  • Coordinating appointments, patient communications and group programmes
  • Maintaining accurate records, managing data and using a range of electronic systems to support service delivery
  • Supporting audit, service evaluation and quality improvement activities

This is a varied role combining direct patient support with administrative and organisational responsibilities.

We Are Seeking An Individual Who
  • Has experience working in a health, care, administrative or support setting

  • Has excellent IT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office and electronic record systems

Experience in weight management, diabetes or health improvement would be advantageous but is not essential.

About The Team

The Diabetes & Weight Management Team is part of NHS Fife's wider Nutrition & Dietetics Service and works alongside colleagues across primary and secondary care to support people living with diabetes, obesity and other long-term conditions.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team of Dietitians, Psychologists, Dietetic Support Workers, Exercise Specialists and Administrative Staff who are committed to improving health outcomes for the people of Fife through prevention, early intervention and evidence-based care.
