Whitchurch, Shropshire veterinary practice is hiring a Veterinary Surgeon on a flexible part-time basis. You will manage a varied small animal caseload, including consultations, diagnostics and surgery, with professional development opportunities and a strong emphasis on patient care.

The role offers a competitive package, funded CPD, employee benefits and support towards certificates, with pro rata salary up to £70,000 FTE and relocation/visa sponsorship consideration where applicable.

Qualifications

• Recognised Veterinary Medicine qualification.
• Registered with the RCVS (MRCVS).
• Experience working as a Veterinary Surgeon in small animal practice.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients.
• Conduct consultations, clinical examinations and diagnostic investigations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform routine surgical procedures and provide postoperative care.
• Develop individual treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options and preventative healthcare.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional veterinary standards.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support colleagues to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, hygiene and patient safety.
• Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Share clinical knowledge and support the professional development of colleagues.
