Job summary

Chattyvets is seeking a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team on a part-time basis. This role offers a varied GP caseload, clinical independence and collaborative working environment.

The position involves consultations, GP surgery, prescribing under legislation and maintaining records, with a 30-hour week, weekend rotations, and on-call support after settling in. Relocation assistance and CPD budget are available.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with GP experience.
• Confident working independently/sole charge.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passionate about excellent patient care and clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out consultations, examinations and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform routine GP surgery within your level of competence.
• Prescribe and dispense medication in line with legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
• Refer cases appropriately when required.
• Work collaboratively with the wider veterinary and nursing team.
• Deliver consistently high standards of patient care.
