Job summary

Vets Now Northampton is seeking Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeons to join on a part-time fixed-term basis, delivering emergency and critical care. The role features a 1:2 night/weekend rotation and a 37-hour average week, with a 13-week rolling rota for nights and days across Sat and Sun shifts.

You will join a nationwide emergency veterinary network, enjoying enhanced rewards and benefits and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency and critical care.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends.
• Must be a qualified veterinary surgeon with relevant registrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to patients.

Vets Now Northampton are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a part-time fixed-term basis. Now for work-life balance

This role consists of working an average of 37 hours per week across weekday nights, weekend days and nights (1:2 rotation), as well as a share of bank holidays – never working more than three nightshifts in a row. The 13-week rolling rota will feature an average of seven shifts every four weeks – nightshifts are 1900-0900, and dayshifts are 1200-1930 on a Saturday and 0830-1930 on a Sunday.
